Sarah Palin hand notes come from the Tea Party National Convention speech

Sarah Palin hand notes come from the Tea Party National Convention speech.  The Sarah Palin hand notes weren’t simplistic reminders for Palin to perform every day tasks – they were reminders of what she needed to say during her speech. Closer inspection of a photo of Sarah Palin, during a speech in which she mocked President Obama for his use of a teleprompter, reveals several notes written on her left hand. The words “Energy”, “Tax” and “Lift American Spirits” are clearly visible. There’s also what appears to read as “Budget cuts” with the word Budget crossed out. OPM Announces that on Tuesday the Fed Gov Will Be Closed

federal government closed tuesday OPM has announced that on Tuesday the Federal Government will closed Tuesday The OPM Website is currently experiencing a civil servant DOS while federal workers anxiously query the site to find out what’s up. This begs of course a few questions. 1. Why doest OPM use twitter. 2. Why doesnt OPM have an RSS feed. 3. Why doesnt OPM */ its webpage. 4. Why doesnt OPM have an email alert system. 5. Why the federal agencies have not initiated their COOP plans. I mean, this is sort of the perfect example of what all those COOP exercises were meant to practice. read full article: OPM Announces that on Tuesday the Fed Gov Will Be CLOSED barlington.blogspot.com Related MetroAccess : Metrobus resumes normal operations

Federal Government Closed Tuesday : Why can’t they all work from home?

Federal Government Closed Tuesday All D.C.-area federal agencies were closed Monday after the snowstorm last weekend. Shutting down the federal government costs $100 million a day in lost productivity. Washington Talk about a budget freeze: The storm they call “Snowmageddon” has halted the federal government in its tracks. With roads inside the Beltway impassable, and trains and buses running a minimum schedule, and schools closed, and crowds having snowball fights in Dupont Circle, and yeti wandering K Street (we made up that last one), all D.C.-area federal agencies were closed Monday. They might close Tuesday, as well. There’s another storm due Tuesday night, so it is possible that the government shutdown will last until the D.C. government unveils its secret snow-removal strategy, otherwise known as “spring.” But closing down the federal government costs $100 million a day in lost productivity. Why can’t bureaucrats, you know, telecommute? Like everybody else does in this Era of the iPhone. read full article: Federal government closes: Why can’t they all work from home? csmonitor.com

747 8 First Fligh Boeing’s Newest, Largest Plane : Boeing 747-8 Freighter takes off on first flight

747 8 first fligh The clouds lifted, the sun shone through and Boeing’s newest, largest plane took off at 12:39 p.m. Monday. It remains to be seen whether enough 747-8 aircraft sell for the program to make a profit. Here’s a photo gallery. The 747-8 has new wings and engines. It also is more than 18 feet longer than the 747-400, and can carry 30 more tons of cargo (154 tons altogether), although its range, 4,390 nautical miles, is 55 nautical miles shorter. “It’s a great step up,” Thomas Crabtree, Boeing regional marketing director, airline revenue analysis — cargo, said Monday. The range isn’t a big issue for cargo customers, Crabtree said. “Cargo doesn’t care if it stops for gas,” he said, noting that many cargo routes have stops built in anyway. Boeing has 108 orders for the 747-8: 76 for the freighter and 32 for the 747-8 Intercontinental passenger version. read full article: Boeing 747-8 Freighter takes off on first flight blog.seattlepi.com Related Posts Boeing Jumbo Jet : Boeing Says 747-8 Freighter to Make First Flight Boeing 787 landing, dreamliner landing, first flight Boeing 787 Dreamliner prepares for first flight Kodak Zi8 HD Pocket Video Camera (Black) NEWEST MODEL Review Kodak Zi8 HD Pocket Video Camera Review Apple iPod touch 32 GB 3rd Generation

Boeing 747-8 First Flight, Video and Pictures

The day started out pretty foggy today and the first flight of the Boeing 747-8 was delayed for a few hours. It was well worth the wait, because when she took the air, the sun was out and the sky was blue. The Boeing 747-8 was surprisingly quiet on take off and the chase planes made much more noise The Boeing 747-8 is scheduled to be in the air until 4:22pm, when it will land back at Paine Field (and I will be there to take video/pictures). read full article: Video and Pictures of Boeing 747-8 First Flight blog.seattlepi.com

Kendra Wilkinson Breaks Down After Super Bowl

Kendra Wilkinson was so upset that her husband’s Indianapolis Colts team lost Sunday’s Super Bowl that she walked to the back of her suite, the Associated Press reports. Hank Baskett — a little-used receiver who had his hands on the ball once during the game but let it bounce away — didn’t take questions afterwards, either. Wilkinson, 24, was later spotted crying, but she Twittered it wasn’t because of the “damn game”; it was because the paparazzi kept bothering her.
