Blanket Jackson Makes Uncommon Appearance to Mark Michael Jackson's Hypothetical 65th Birthday

Blanket and Prince made a heartfelt tribute to their father, Michael Jackson, on what would have been his 65th birthday. The two siblings, Bigi Jackson (formerly known as Blanket), aged 21, and Prince Jackson, aged 26, appeared together in a rare sighting in Las Vegas to honor their late father. The occasion took place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, where the ongoing Cirque du Soleil show, “Michael Jackson ONE,” is being performed.

Reports confirm that the well-known siblings warmly interacted with fans within the casino premises. One devoted Michael Jackson supporter even gifted them a picture of their father accompanied by an angel, sparking conversations about their cherished memories of the iconic global superstar.

As stated on Cirque du Soleil’s official website, representatives from Michael’s estate were also in attendance, conducting a public Q&A session to commemorate Michael’s “Blue Sapphire Birthday Celebration.” The estate members engaged with fans before enjoying a special performance by the cast of the Vegas show. The event was scheduled to extend throughout the evening and was highlighted by a book signing by Michael Bush, the author of “The King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson.”

The festivities didn’t conclude there. An additional feature included a meet and greet with the original creative team behind Michael Jackson ONE and representatives from the Grammy-winning artist’s estate. Attendees who provided proof of ticket purchase for either of the two Tuesday shows were treated to cake and cupcakes ahead of the main event.

The Cirque du Soleil show, dedicated to honoring the legacy of the Thriller hitmaker, promises an incredible blend of music and acrobatics. Originally announced in February 2013, the show opened to the public a few months later. Michael’s 65th birthday marked the 10th anniversary of the show’s residency in Las Vegas.

Michael’s friend and choreographer, Jamie King, once noted, “Everything [Jackson] does is with a childlike heart. For Michael, every day was fresh, every day was new, every day had to be bigger and better than the last one.” This sentiment echoed the essence of the show, which aimed to differentiate itself from its precursor, “Immortal.”

This recent extravaganza wasn’t the first time the Jackson children made a rare appearance to honor their father’s legacy through the show. In August 2018, Paris Jackson, aged 25, and Prince attended the “Michael Jackson Diamond Birthday Celebration,” also held at Mandalay Bay, to celebrate what would have been their father’s 60th birthday. During this event, they accepted the Elizabeth Taylor Legacy Award on behalf of Michael for his humanitarian contributions to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

Elizabeth Taylor, a close friend of Michael’s and Paris’ godmother, had a lasting impact on their lives. Paris reminisced about the interactions between her father and Elizabeth, emphasizing his support for her cause through his time, fame, and donations.

In 2007, a former bodyguard of Michael Jackson described his three children as “well-mannered, well-behaved kids,” underscoring their level-headedness. Michael’s publicist echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that his children were always his top priority.

At Michael’s funeral in 2009, Paris, then just 11 years old, paid a moving tribute to her father, stating, “Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just want to say that I love him so much.”
