During the live show on Tuesday, Howie, aged 67, seized the opportunity to jest about Sofía, aged 51, being back on the market for potential suitors following her divorce from Joe Manganiello.
This lighthearted moment occurred after a ventriloquist and mentalist named Brynn Cummings put on an act that involved setting up Heidi Klum with a puppet bachelor named Lovebird.
After Brynn’s performance, Howie enthusiastically praised her skills and then turned to the young ventriloquist with a teasing remark: “I have one more piece of advice for you: if you’re looking for eligible bachelors, you should’ve talked to Sofía because she’s in the market right now.”
Sofía took Howie’s comment in stride, responding with an exuberant cheer and raising her hands in the air. Host Terry Crews stepped in to playfully defuse the situation, telling the judges, “No, we’re not doing that here!”

Heidi, aged 50, also chimed in, expressing gratitude to Brynn for picking her for the puppet setup: “Well, thank you that you picked me. I think I did a fantastic job and so did you.”
Howie’s light-hearted comment comes a few weeks after sources confirmed that Sofía and Joe, aged 46, were ending their marriage of seven years. The couple officially announced their decision to divorce in a statement to Page Six in July, emphasizing their mutual care and respect for each other even as they navigated this new phase of their lives.
Joe officially filed for divorce a couple of days after the public announcement. Citing “irreconcilable differences” in the court documents, he noted their separation date as July 2. The existence of a prenuptial agreement was also mentioned.
On her part, Sofía requested in her filing that the prenup be upheld by the court. She also sought confirmation that specific assets, including jewelry, artwork, and personal effects, remain hers. She considered her earnings both before and during their marriage as her own assets.
Sofía and Joe’s relationship had its ups and downs over the years, with both insiders and sources noting their differences in style and preferences. Despite this, they made efforts to prioritize each other’s interests during their marriage.
